No fabric, brand, or size tags as this dress was likely made in the early 1900s (1920 or later)
For the most special of occasions, this dress will stop a crowd in its tracks. Absolutely stunning lace work in an ultra flattering subtle mermaid silhouette. It's truly special, and has been around for about 100 years, a tribute to the material and craftsmanship. It is delicate, but wearable—and also a wearable size. There are two v-shaped panels on the front and back of the skirt, adding to it's soft flaring out at the hemline. There is a built-in bow at the chest with a cloth flower attached. There is a zipper opening on the side, which indicates it was made after 1920. It was sourced from a Hollywood costume house where it was used for films and television.
There is a small red stain on the front lower half of the skirt. The stain is about as large as the top of a fingernail, and I've shown it in context of the garment as well as close-up. It has not been cleaned or dry cleaned. But it is possible that the stain will come out. There is some discoloration and wear throughout. No major holes or other damage that I've seen. Considering its age, it is in spectacular condition.
