This sweet 1970s gown looks plucked straight out of a Sofia Coppola film (hello Virgin Suicides). The ideal prom, bridesmaid, wedding guest, bridal shower, or baby shower look—it also has a versatile formal-to-"party attire" range that we love. It has a pleated layer of fabric over the chest and two straps that form a 'V' just around the collarbone, attaching at the back. There is a zipper and hook and eyelet closure at the back. The skirt floats outward at the hips for a long, A-line silhouette. We also love the idea of using a brooch or large pin to bustle it a little at the front so it feels a bit more modern, as pictured.
Excellent vintage condition, no snags or holes. We hand washed and hung dry it, and were able to remove a few dirt marks with the exception of a faint one that is underneath the pleated top, pictured. Looks flawless.
