Size: 7/8 (fits like a modern 4/6, measurements below)
100% Silesta Polyester
Be still my heart. This dress is one of those exceptional finds that you only come across once in a lifetime. I'm envisioning a gorgeous Bianca Jagger sauntering into dinner or onto a dance floor in the early '70s. Mick on her arm, her hair in loose tousled curls swept up to one side—a vision really.
This dress has all the elements of a memorable night: it's a silky, satin-y material that glides over the body. The front gathers at the mid-section and cascades down into soft ruffles. The bodice has a low cut wrap style, and the long sleeves billow subtly at the bicep, making it such an elegant silhouette. The color is a bold rust—orange-y red. There is a belt of the same fabric that bells out at the ends; it hooks through loops at the waist but could also be worn without. It was made by a brand called "Climax by David Howard".
Absolutely gorgeous. Hard to let go of! But I know someone out there deserves it. Wear to: a wedding, holiday parties, glamorous night out, or throw yourself a party and make everyone dress in glam '70s attire.
Excellent vintage condition. I sewed two seams shut so they are fully repaired. The tie belt has a few small markings on it, but nothing obvious.
